Not Eminem, but Rebecca Gilman (Spinning Into Butter, Boy Gets Girl). The power playwright's latest, A True History of the Johnstown Flood, is now playing at the Goodman Theatre. It explores art's role in the wake of tragedy, through the parallels between Hurricane Katrina and a deadly 1889 deluge that devastated Pennsylvania.
A True History of the Johnstown Flood runs through Sunday. My Flavorpill preview is here.

I just pared down my way-too-big play collection, keeping less than a quarter of what I used to have. And I made sure to keep every one of my Gilman plays; she's simply the best. In fact, I think I need to get whatever plays she's written than I don't yet own.
Didn't know you were a theater buff. I share your appreciation for Ms. Gilman's work, having seen and liked several of her previous shows at the Goodman.
Sarah Ruhl gets a lot of national press, but to me it's Rebecca Gilman who delivers the goods.
