I'm writing a Springsteen song

It's about a regular working-class guy who struggles against an uncertain future. He lives for today out on the rough streets with a hint of desperation. But he's also sensitive, yearning for something more and singing earnestly to his girl.

I haven't finished it yet, but that's the general idea.

sorry boop, it's already been written: bon jovi "livin' on a prayer." in fact they nail that sucker in only half a verse:

we've got to hold on to what we've got. it doesn't really matter if we make it or not, we've got each other. and that's a lot. for love we'll give it a shot.

To really nail the ending I recommend first going out on a few last-chance power drives. When you sit back down to finish the song, it'll just write itself.

I figured you were going to link to that old Onion story about "Springsteenville," though come to think of it that one may not be online...
